Prescription drugs seized, men charged -Police Transport Command Merrylands

Two men have been charged after police seized ‘ice’, prescription drugs and knives at Merrylands on Sunday.
Officers attached to Police Transport Command were patrolling a car park Merrylands Road at Merrylands about 9pm (Sunday 16 April 2017), when they spoke with two men standing beside a car.
Police will allege that when the car was searched they found ‘ice’, oxycodone, fentanyl as well as other prescription medication, knives and other property.
A 37-year-old Merrylands man has been charged with six offences:
- Supply prohibited drug
- Possess prohibited drug (two counts)
- Goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen
- Custody of a knife in a public place
- Deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail after appearing in Parramatta Bail Court yesterday (Monday 7 April 2017); he is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 20 April 2017.
A 49-year-old Merrylands man has been charged with two counts of possess a prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 5 May 2017.
