Man injured after assault at home - Campsie

A man has been injured after an assault at a home in Sydney’s south west today.
Just before 11.30am (Saturday 15 April 2017), emergency services were called to a unit on Sixth Avenue, Campsie, following reports of a man injured.
Police have been told an unknown man attended the unit and spoke to a 40-year-old man before assaulting him with a metal weapon.
He fled in a dark vehicle, not further described.
The injured man was taken to Canterbury Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
Officers from Campsie Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
As part of their inquires, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 20 and 30, of muscular build, with dark hair and a beard.
Police believe it was a targeted attack.
