Teen shot at Glenfield

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in Sydney’s south western suburbs this morning.

Emergency services were called to a home on Moresby Avenue, Glenfield, about 6.10am (Friday 14 April 2017), and found a teenage boy with a gunshot wound to his head.

The 15-year-old boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital. His condition is reported to be critical.

A crime scene has been established and a canvass of the neighbourhood will be conducted.

Police are now looking for a man described as being aged between 18 and 20, with a thin build, who was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants, a navy blue hooded jacket and white joggers. It is believed he may be armed.

Police urge anyone who sees this man not to approach him but to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
