Cyclist injured in crash - Blacktown

A cyclist has been seriously injured following a crash in Sydney’s west today.
About 12.20pm (Monday 10 April 2017), a 25-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Third Avenue and Prince Street, Blacktown.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the car, a 31-year-old woman, was not injured. She was also taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
