Bullet hole found in car - West Waratah

Police are appealing for information from the public after a bullet hole was found in a car parked in Waratah West this morning.

Police from Newcastle City Local Area Command were told damage was noticed to the vehicle yesterday (Sunday 9 April 2017), however, it wasn’t until that afternoon that the owner realised there was a bullet hole in the rear-passenger door.

Police attended and secured a crime scene in University Drive, West Waratah, while a canvass of the area was conducted.

No injuries have been reported to police.
