Appeal for witnesses after brawl - Enmore

Police are investigating after a brawl in Enmore overnight.

About 12am (Sunday 9 April 2017), a woman was allegedly approached by three unknown men at the corner of Enmore Road and Metropolitan Road, Enmore.

A 28-year-old man went to assist the woman, before he was punched repeatedly.

The woman fled on foot.

A 28-year-old woman and four men, aged 33, 27, 24, and 21 passing by saw the altercation and went to assist the man, and were also set upon by the three men.

The three men got into a silver Holden Astra and allegedly drove at the 27-year-old man, causing him to fall over.

The men assaulted the 27-year-old, before returning to the vehicle and fleeing east along Edgeware Road, Enmore.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated multiple patients at the scene for lacerations, a dislocated shoulder, concussion and bruising.

Officers from Newtown Local Area Command attended and are calling for witnesses to come forward.
