Stabbing - Emerton

Police are investigating the stabbing of a man which is believed to have occurred at a home in Sydney’s north-west last night.

About 9pm (Saturday 8 April 2017), a 22-year-old man was taken to Mt Druitt Hospital after suffering a number of stab wounds to his arm and chest and collapsing on the footpath in Offenbach Avenue, Emerton.

He has undergone surgery and remains in hospital, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.

At this stage the man has declined to assist police, but detectives believe the stabbing occurred at a party at a home in Offenbach Avenue.

A crime scene was established at the property, with more than 100 people removed from the location while investigations took place.

Mt Druitt detectives would now like to speak to any person with information about the stabbing.
