Man charged over alleged sexual relationship with boy - SCC Child Abuse Squad

A man will face court today charged over an alleged sexual relationship with a teenage boy.

Earlier this month, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation following reports an older man had befriended a 15-year-old boy, and developed a sexual relationship with him.

Following extensive investigations, a 69-year-old man was arrested at a home in the Shoalhaven region about 2pm yesterday (Wednesday 5 April 2017).

He was taken to Ulladulla Police Station, where he was charged with 11 counts of sexual intercourse with person 14-16 years.

The man was refused bail to appear at Milton Local Court later today (Thursday 6 April 2017).

The Child Abuse Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate crimes against children, including sexual assault, physical abuse and serious cases of neglect.
