Man charged over fatal crash near Tamworth

A man has been charged in relation to a fatal crash in Tamworth last week.
About 3.15pm on Friday (31 March 2017), emergency services were called to the Oxley Highway, near Moroon Road, after a Ford Falcon and a Toyota Kluger collided.
The driver of the Ford, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, a 44-year-old woman; and her two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 54-year-old male passenger, were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
All three were taken to Tamworth Hospital for treatment.
Crash Investigation Unit officers established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Yesterday (Wednesday 5 April 2017), a 26-year-old man, a Taiwanese National, was arrested in relation to the collision.
He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, predatory driving, and drive furiously in motor vehicle and cause bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Monday 1 May 2017.
Police allege he was the driver of a third vehicle, which was involved in the collision.
