Man seriously assaulted in St Marys

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was seriously assaulted in Sydney’s west this morning.

Emergency services were called to Queen Street, St Marys around 4am (Tuesday 28 February 2017), following reports that a man had been assaulted.

Police have been told that the man was assaulted a number of times by three people who were possibly holding bats before his property was allegedly stolen.

The 37-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
