Police locate woman in crashed car following Triple Zero call - Bathurst

A woman has been located in a crashed vehicle north east of Bathurst today.

About midnight (Monday 27 February 2017), a triple zero call was made by a 43-year-old woman who said she had crashed into an embankment and was trapped.

A search involving officers from Chifley Local Area Command, NSW Ambulance, and State Emergency Service commenced.

Just before 11am, a NSW Ambulance helicopter located a crashed Toyota Corolla on the Ilford Sofala Road, about 60km north east of Bathurst.

Emergency services attended and are currently working to release the woman trapped in the vehicle. Her injuries are not known.

Police thank the public and community for their assistance.
