Police appeal to locate woman following Triple Zero call - Bathurst

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a woman believed to be in a crashed vehicle in the state’s Central Tablelands.

The 43-year-old woman was last seen at a service station on Sydney Road, Kelso, about 11pm yesterday (Sunday 26 February 2017).

Police have been told the woman, from Tumut, stopped to ask for directions to Mudgee.

About midnight (Monday 27 February 2017), a triple zero call was made from the woman who said she had crashed into an embankment and was trapped.

The woman’s phone has since been uncontactable; however, the last known location was in the vicinity of Sallys Flat, north of Bathurst.

A search involving officers from Chifley Local Area Command, NSW Ambulance, and State Emergency Service commenced.

Anyone who may have seen a 1997 silver Toyota Corolla with NSW registration BL-77-UF is urged to come forward.
