Suspicious fire - Weston

Police are appealing for information after a suspicious fire at a business in Weston early this morning.

About 4.30am (Saturday 25 February 2017), a man attended a smash repairs business on Government Road, after an alarm was activated.

When he attended, he located a shed alight and contacted emergency services.

Fire fighters extinguished the blaze; however, the shed and three vehicles parked inside were damaged.

No one was injured.

Officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command attended and a crime scene was established.

Police are treating the blaze as suspicious.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
