Police concerned for welfare of mother and child - Merrylands

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a mother and her six-year-old daughter who were last seen in Sydney’s west yesterday.

Karina Gage, 31, and Mariella Vittori, aged six, were last seen at a shopping complex on the corner of McFarlane and Pitt Streets, Merrylands, about 3.30pm (Friday 24 February 2017).

Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command were notified and launched an investigation.

Police conducted an extensive search of the area, but the pair has not been found. It is believed they may be driving a white 2006-model Peugeot with NSW registration CK55VK.

Karina is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall, approximately 50kg, with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Mariella is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 125cm tall, approximately 30kg, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police hold serious concerns for the welfare of the young girl and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
