Two men will face court tomorrow after an alleged assault and stabbing in Sydney’s south west early this morning.
About 6.30am (Saturday 25 February 2017), a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were at a home on Strickland Crescent, Ashcroft, when a woman knocked on the door and there was a verbal altercation.
Police will allege the man went outside the home and damaged a Honda Civic parked outside, before being assaulted by two men.
The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment of a stab wound to his back.
Officers from Green Valley Local Area Command attended and arrested two men – aged 18 and 22 – in the street.
They were taken to Green Valley Police Station where the younger man was charged with affray and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The older man was charged with affray and an outstanding warrant.
Both men were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 26 February 2017).
