Attempted armed robbery - Greenacre

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery in Greenacre yesterday.

Police have been told about 8.30pm (Thursday 30 March 2017), a 21-year-old man was on Greenacre Road, when he was approached by another man.

The man produced a weapon, possibly a taser, before the 21-year-old man fled on foot.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command launched an investigation and would like to speak to a man who they believe can assist.

The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 20’s, approximately 175cm tall, and of medium build. He has short black hair, with a thick beard.

He was last seen wearing a black zip down hoodie with white writing on the front and tracksuit pants.
