Six arrested for heroin supply - Potts Point

Kings Cross Police have arrested four women and two men aged from 38 to 77 following a five-month investigation into the distribution of heroin in the Potts Point area.

Strike Force Deleterious was established by the Kings Cross Drug Unit in November syndicate to examine the activities of an alleged criminal syndicate operating in the local area.

Police will alleged that over the course of the investigation they uncovered information relating to the ongoing mid-level supply of heroin in Potts Point which was managed from Albury.

From 7.30am today (Wednesday 29 March 2017), Kings Cross Police were joined by a number of other local area commands to execute search warrants at homes in the Sydney suburbs of Potts Point, Neutral Bay, Surry Hills and Darlinghurst, as well as Albury in southern NSW.

Six people were arrested during the operation and police seized a large number of mobile phones, drug paraphernalia and small amounts of illicit drugs.

A 51-year-old woman was charged with 30 counts of supply prohibited drug, and one count each of ongoing supply of prohibited drug and direct a criminal group. She was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Wednesday 29 March 2017).

A 51-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug and direct criminal group. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Albury Local Court on Tuesday 18 April 2017.

A 58-year-old man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, and one count each of deal with the proceeds of crime and participate in a criminal group. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on Tuesday 18 April 2017.

A 77-year-old woman was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, deal with the proceeds of crime, and participate in a criminal group. She was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 10 May 2017.

A 61-year-old woman was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, and participate in a criminal group. She was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 18 April 2017.

A 39-year-old woman was charged with supply prohibited drug and participate in criminal group. She was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Wednesday 29 March 2017).

The Kings Cross Drug Unit will continue to target the supply of illicit drugs in the local community.
