Police appeal after armed robbery on the Central Coast

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in San Remo on the Central Coast.

Emergency services were called to a restaurant on Liamena Avenue, San Remo, about 8pm last night (Tuesday 28 March 2017), following reports of an armed robbery.

Police have been told that a man entered the restaurant and threatened staff with a knife before stealing a sum of cash and leaving.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Command attended and launched an investigation into the incident.

A crime scene was established which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

As inquiries continue, officers would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 170cms tall, medium build and wearing a white jumper and black tracksuit pants.
