Police appeal for witnesses to serious motorcycle crash - Moorebank

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash that’s left a motorcycle rider in a critical condition yesterday.

About 8pm (Monday 27 March 2017), a 43-year-old man was riding his motorcycle west on Newbridge Road, Moorebank.

About 100 meters east of Davey Robinson Road the rider lost control of the bike and crashed into a concrete safety barrier. The rider was thrown from the bike and suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the crash site and commenced investigations.

Police have been told the rider may have been travelling with a second motorcyclist just prior to the crash.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Newbridge Road, Moorebank, between 7.50 and 8pm last night, and witnessed the crash, or may have information that could help identify the second motorcyclist, should contact police.
