Woman dead, man critical after motorcycle crash near Bathurst

A woman has died, and a man is in a serious condition after a motorcycle crash near Bathurst yesterday.

Just after 10.30am (Saturday 25 March 2017), emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway near Diamond Swamp Road, about 35km from Bathurst, following reports of a crash.

Police have been told a motorcycle with two riders, was travelling westbound on the Great Western Highway, when it crashed.

A woman, aged 50, died at the scene. A 51-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being flown to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Chifley Local Area Command established a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
