Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery in Dulwich Hill last night.

About 7.45pm (Sunday 19 March 2017), a 67-year-old man was walking through a park on Terrace Road when he was approached by a teenage boy armed with a knife.

Police have been told the teen threatened the man and demanded money and the man’s phone.

When the man told the teen he had nothing on him, the teen fled towards a nearby toilet block where he met two other teenage boys.

The man, uninjured, contacted officers from Marrickville Local Area Command who attended and commenced inquiries.

As those inquiries continue, police would like to speak to three teens who might be able to assist them.

The first is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 15 and 18 years, about 180cm tall, and was wearing a grey hooded jacket, shorts and a white Halloween mask.

The second teen is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 15 years old and was seen wearing a hoodie and black shorts.

The third teenager is not further described.
