Missing Newcastle man believed to be heading towards Sydney

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man after he went missing from Newcastle.

Robert Kemp, 62, was reported missing this morning (Friday 17 March 2017), after concerned family could not contact him at his Warabrook property.

Officers from Newcastle Local Area Command commenced searching for Mr Kemp. Concerns are held for his welfare.

Police have received reports Mr Kemp was seen about 4.20pm this afternoon in Mayfield and may have boarded a train for Sydney.

Mr Kemp is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of solid build, about 175cm tall, with a fair complexion, brown eyes and dark grey hair.

Anyone with information on Mr Kemp’s whereabouts is urged to contact police via Crime Stoppers.
