Man charged after drug raid in Zetland

Police have charged a man with serious drug offences after a search warrant in Zetland today.
Strike Force Grassy was established by officers from Redfern Regional Enforcement Squad to investigate indoor cultivation of cannabis.
About 8.40am today (Friday 17 March 2017), officers attached Redfern Regional Enforcement Squad and Operation Oden, executed a search warrant at a home on Hansard Street, Zetland.
It is alleged that officers located 94 cannabis plants, 900 grams of cannabis and an extensive hydroponic set-up which was being used for the purpose of indoor cannabis cultivation.
The estimate street value of the plants and cannabis is $280,000.
Officers arrested a 36-year-old man and he was taken to Redfern Police Station.
The man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug and dealing in the proceeds to crime.
He was bail refused to appear before Central Local Court later today (Friday 17 March 2017).
