Fatal crash - Woodville

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Woodville in the Hunter Valley.

About 5.50pm yesterday (Thursday 16 March 2017), an eastbound Holden Statesman and a BMW motorcycle collided on Clarence Town Road, as the Holden was turning right into a driveway.

The motorcyclist was ejected and sustained significant injuries.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The man is not yet formally identified, however he is believed to be a male aged in his 40s.

The 52-year-old male driver of the Holden was uninjured. He was taken to John Hunter Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
