Truck roll-over M1 Pacific Motorway - Berowra

Motorists are being urged to delay all non-essential travel in both directions on the M1 Pacific Motorway at Berowra following a crash a short time ago.

The crash happened about 12.25pm when a tanker loaded with liquid bitumen rolled over.

The driver of the truck was trapped but has since been released and is being transported to hospital.

All emergency services are in attendance including Fire & Rescue NSW HAZMAT officers who will assess and clear the site.

Northbound motorists are diverting off the motorway at Berowra onto the Pacific Highway before returning to the motorway at Cowan.

Although one southbound lane is open.

Southbound motorists should consider diverting off the motorway at Cowan onto the Pacific Highway before returning to the motorway at Berowra to avoid the crash scene.

Traffic in the area is heavy and motorists who cannot delay travel should expect significant delays.
