Woman charged after being an accessory, malicious wounding - Bexley

A woman has been charged following investigations into a malicious wounding of a man in Bexley earlier this month.

About 5pm (Thursday 2 March 2017) a 24-year-old man attended a unit on Queen Victoria Street, Bexley to visit a friend.

Two men known to each other arrived shortly after and became involved in an altercation.

During the altercation, a 35-year-old man allegedly punched the 24-year-old man to the head before using a knife to inflict numerous wounds to the younger man’s arms, buttock and legs.

The injured man was conveyed to St George Hospital for treatment.

Detectives from St George Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.

Shortly after midday (Wednesday 15 March 2017) police arrested a 26-year-old woman during a police operation in Derwent Street, South Hurstville.

She was taken to Kogarah Police Station where she was charged with accessory after fact serious indictable offence and deal with property proceeds of crime.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 11 April, 2017.
