Man stabbed - Riverwood

Police are investigating a stabbing in Sydney’s south this morning.

Shortly before 2.30am (Wednesday 15 March 2017), police were called outside a home on Bonds Road, Riverwood, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers from Campsie Local Area Command attended and located a 33-year-old man with a stab wound to his thigh.

Initial inquiries suggest the man was injured following an altercation with another man known to him.

The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A crime scene has been established and it will be examined by forensic officers.

No arrests have yet been made.
