Police investigate after break and enter - South Tamworth

Police are investigating after an aggravated break and enter in South Tamworth today.

About 6pm (Sunday 12 March 2017), police were called to a home on Myndee Avenue, following reports of a break and enter.

Police have been told that an unknown man entered the home and confronted the resident, a 76-year-old man, with a knife.

The unknown man demanded money, before fleeing the home.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers from Oxley Local Area Command commenced inquiries and would like to speak to a man they believe may be able to assist.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, approximately 152cm tall, of medium build with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with dark coloured shorts.
