A man who was pulled over with three children in his car has been suspended from driving for 24 hours after returning positive drug tests during a drug and drink driving operation in Sydney’s north.
The operation was conducted by officers attached to Kuring Gai Local Area Command yesterday (Saturday 11 March 2017).
During the operation, police conducted 200 random breath tests and nine random drug tests.
About 9.45am, police stopped a Toyota being driven by a 42-year-old man. There were three child passengers in the vehicle, aged three, seven and eleven.
The man was subjected to a random drug test, which returned a positive reading for cannabis.
The man was arrested and conveyed to Hornsby Police Station for a secondary oral fluid test, which also returned positive for cannabis.
The man was suspended from driving for 24 hours. Once the test results are confirmed he is expected to be charged with drug driving offences.
