A man was arrested after crashing his motorcycle and running from police after officers attempted to pull him over in Sydney's north-west this morning.
Police from Rosehill Local Area Command were patrolling Victoria Road, Rydalmere, about 4.30am (Saturday 11 March 2017) when they attempted to stop a motorcycle due to the manner of riding.
A pursuit commenced when the motorcycle accelerated from police, travelling into Park Road where the rider lost control and crashed on a roundabout at South Street.
The rider then ran down Antoine Street before being stopped by police and placed under arrest.
The 29-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for suspected shoulder and leg injuries before being taken to Westmead Hospital.
The motorbike was towed from the scene, with inquiries continuing into false number plates.
The rider is expected to be charged upon his release from hospital.
