Two women face court for alleged large scale retail theft - Central Hunter LAC

Two women will face court after police executed search warrants at homes in the Hunter Region of NSW.

About 9am on Wednesday 8 March 2017, officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Cassia Way, Metford, where police locate and seized a large quantity of children’s clothing and toys.

Shortly after, police arrested a 43-year-old woman at her home. She was taken to Maitland Police Station where she was charged with receive/dispose stolen property.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Maitland Local Court on Monday 20 March, 2017.

About 9am on Thursday 9 March 2017, police executed a search warrant at a home on East Seaham Road, Clarence Town, where they allegedly located and seized a large quantity of children’s clothing and toys.

Police arrested a 39-year-old woman at the scene. She was taken to Maitland Police Station where she was charged with receive/dispose stolen property, larceny, and supply prohibited drug.

She was refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 13 March 2017.
