Man charged after stabbing in Claymore

A man has been charged after an alleged stabbing in Claymore yesterday.

Emergency services were called to a home on Norman Crescent about 3.45pm (Tuesday 7 March 2017), following a number of reports that a man had been stabbed.

When officers arrived they located a 26-year-old man, who was suffering stab wounds to his abdomen.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic officers.

About 4.30pm, police arrested a 49-year-old man, who was known to the victim, in Claymore.

He was taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station where he was charged with Stalking/ intimidating with intention to cause fear or harm and wounding a person with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm

The man was refused bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday 8 March 2017).
