Delays expected following fatal crash - Wilton, south of Sydney

Motorists are advised to expect delays following a fatal crash on the Hume Highway at Wilton, south of Sydney.

Just before 8am (Tuesday 7 March 2017), emergency services responded to reports of a head-on crash in the south bound lanes of the Hume Highway, about 1km south of Picton Road.

A woman in one vehicle died at the scene. Emergency services are currently working to release another woman trapped in a second vehicle.

Two other passengers were trapped in a vehicle for a short time and are now en-route to hospital with serious injuries.

The Hume Highway southbound is closed while emergency services deal with the situation. Crash Investigation officers are also en-route to the scene.
