Armed robbery - Coffs Harbour

Police are investigating after an armed robbery in Coffs Harbour today.

Police have been told about 10am (Sunday 5 March 2017), a 57-year-old man was working in a liquor store on Park Avenue when an unknown man entered the store and approached the man.

The man has then threatened the employee with a knife.

The employee has then tried to leave the store but the man has followed the employee onto Park Avenue.

The 57-year-old man has then called police and the unknown man has left the scene on foot.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

They wish to speak to a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries

He is described as being in his mid to late twenties and Caucasian in appearance. He is about 178cm tall with a medium build. At the time of the incident he was seen wearing a black hooded jumper and bright yellow knee-length shorts.
