Two charged after vehicle search - Manly

Two men have been charged with dealing with proceeds of crime after a vehicle stop in Manly yesterday.
About 12.50pm (Thursday 2 March 2017), police pulled over a vehicle on Pittwater Road, in relation to a minor traffic offence.
After speaking to the two male occupants, aged 20 and 21, who are Estonian Nationals, police formed cause to search the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle, police located $15,225 cash, three expensive items of jewellery, four brand new iphones, and a new laptop. The total value of these items is $109,000.
Police also located and seized numerous debit and credit cards that were in the men’s names.
They were arrested and taken to Manly Police Station and both charged with deal with proceeds of crime.
They were both refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today (Friday 3 March 2017).
The older man was also found to be on an expired tourist visa. Police have notified the Department of Immigration.
