A man has died after being pulled from the ocean about 20km south of Coffs Harbour yesterday.

Just before 5pm (Wednesday 1 March 2017), a 54-year-old man and two boys – aged 11 and 14 – were swimming at Tuckers Rock Beach, Repton, when they were seen to struggle in the water.

A short time later the boys returned to shore safely, however, the man was pulled from the water unresponsive.

A bystander commenced CPR before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.

He died at the scene.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command will prepare a report for the Coroner.
