Woman unaccounted for after house fire - Oberon

Emergency services are at the scene of a house fire in the state’s Central West where one person is unaccounted for.

About 9.20am today (Wednesday 1 March 2017), paramedics were called to a home on Eaton Lane, Oberon, following a medical alert.

On arrival, they found the home well alight.

Fire fighters attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the home was destroyed.

A woman, aged in her 90s, remains unaccounted for.

Police from Chifley Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
