Police appeal for information following alleged act of indecency - Gateshead

Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly committed an act of indecency while on a bus near Lake Macquarie yesterday.

About 5pm (Tuesday 28 February 2017), a man allegedly committed an indecent act while on a bus which was travelling south on the Pacific Highway to Gateshead.

He then exited the bus.

Police were alerted to the incident and conducted a patrol of the area, locating a man nearby.

They spoke to the man before he was released pending further inquiries.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Area Command continue to make inquiries and would like to speak to anyone with information or anyone who was travelling on the bus at the time of the incident.
