Police appeal for information after woman possibly abducted in Bondi

Police are appealing to the public to locate a woman after a possible abduction at Bondi today.

Emergency services were called to a shopping centre on Spring Street, Bondi Junction about 3pm today (Tuesday 28 February 2017), following reports that a woman was assaulted.

Officers have been told that a woman was allegedly assaulted by a man before being forced into a van, which then left the centre.

Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command attended and launched an investigation into the matter.

As a result of inquiries, police hold significant concerns for a woman named, Elizabeth Bell, aged 35.

Police have been informed that Miss Bell may be in company of a Mr William Curteis, aged 42.

The pair may be travelling in a white Toyota Hiace Van with NSW registration RYD227.

Officers would also like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The man is described as African appearance, 30-35 years-old, muscular build, with shaved head. He was wearing a black tank-top, bright blue shorts, blue running shoes and carrying a white jumper on his shoulder.

Police are urging anyone with information relating to Elizabeth Bell to contact police immediately.
